Bio
Mickey Hart: the second drummer. Sat in at the Straight Theater in San Francisco on September 29, 1967, and stayed twenty-eight years. Brought the band tabla, dumbek, the Beast, a wall of timpani and gongs that became Rhythm Devils. Took a leave from 1971 to 1974 after his father embezzled the band's money. Wrote a stack of books about percussion as world ritual. Without Mickey there is no Drums > Space.
